Figures published by the Investment Managers Association (IMA) show that sales of ISAs in March fell by more than £400m on the same time last year.
Our view
It is not surprising given that in March we were in the middle of the Gulf crisis at the time and equity markets had been in turmoil for months if not years. At , we saw an increase in ISA puchases given that investors were looking to buy into the stockmarket at its low point.
