Interest Rates Remain Unchanged

The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee today voted to keep the official Bank Base Rate paid on commercial bank reserves at 5.75%.  

This is the second month in that rates remain unchanged following the last rise on 5 July 2007.

Our view

As predicted, inflation is starting to turn and we are now staring to see some interest rate stability.
