Insolvency Risks

The industry regulator, the Financial Services Authority is monitoring insurance companies solvency margins on a daily basis following the recent run of losses on the stock market.  Although there is no cause for concern at the moment the stock market falls are affecting insurance companies and resulting in with profits bonus cuts across the market.   Concerns about the financial reserves held by companies are being raised, together with the length of time it will take them to rebuild them and how long it will take for bonuses on with profits policies to increase.
