Hungary $25.1bn IMF Rescue Package

The International Monetary Fund (IMF), the European Union and the World Bank have agreed to a $25.1bn economic package for Hungary to bolster confidence in its economy.

This is the largest economic package offered to an ‘emerging’ nation and dwarfs the support package given to Iceland at $2.1bn plus a $4bn loan by the UK and the $16bn deal for the Ukraine.
