The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has suggested that house prices will fall through the second half of the year as more buyers put their homes on the market and there are the same or a lesser number of buyers.
We have predicted this all along as mortgage lending is tight and the fear of redundancy or people tightening their belts and clearing debt down rather than moving on takes over.
We believe that house prices will suffer all the way through the winter around the country although London is likely to at least maintain par.
