House Prices Rising

House Prices Rising.

House prices rose in May, increasing by 0.4%.  A survey by Nationwide showed that the housing market is slowly rising. The annual rise of prices is 1.1% the highest its been since 2011.

The average house price stands at around £167,912. One of the key factors thought to be linked to the rise is the new Funding for Lending scheme, this allows banks to lend money from the Bank of England at a lower rate providing that there is proof of it being lent to customers.

Much of the rises are seen coming from London and the South East which is thought to be hiding the house prices in other regions.
