House Prices Fall 1.2 Per Cent.
According to Halifax, house prices in August fell by 1.2% compared with prices in July. The avergage home was 2.6% lower in value than 12 months ago, with the avergave house price of £161,743.
Halifax believe that low interest rates and a lack of demand mean that there is unlikely to be any increase in market activity.
