A report by recruitament specialist Reed, has highlighted that the numbers of days lost to employees taking time of sick or not working a full capacity due to a hangover is costing British business a staggering £1.8bn a year. The survey found that the average employee spends 2.5 days a year with a hangover.
Our view:
Sack them! If people turn up for work under the influence of alcohol ask them to leave the building and reduce their pay! There is no excuse. If you want to get drunk then do it on a night when you will not be working the next day.
