GPs are unhappy with healthcare funding according to research by Benenden Healthcare with over 50 percent of GPs being unhappy with healthcare funding.
Sixty two per cent of GPs are unhappy with their working relationships with regulators.
Nearly half of those GP’s surveyed said they were also unhappy and frustrated with their workloads and nearly one in five said they were disappointed with their salary.
Our view
What planet are many GPs on. From a television BBC television program the other evening, he average GP salary was £120,000 placing them in one of the highest brackets and nearly 5 times that of a front line soldier and 4 times that of a police officer. Free education, free training, great pension scheme and a job for live. Whilst we do no wish to alienate GPs, the disgruntled ones should take a look at the outside World and see ‘which grass they prefer to mow’.
