Despite the waning confidence of homeowners, Halifax said that house prices are still strong.
According to the most recent Halifax House Price Index, the average house price in the UK grew by around 1.7% in February. Stocks of houses are apparently low, making it still great for sellers.
Martin Ellis, chief economist for Halifax said, "We expect the market to remain strong"
