Gold Buying Firms Warning.

Following an investigation, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) have ordered three companies who buy gold from people by post to improve their treatment of customers.  The OFT found that a number of companies were sending customers payment for their gold, which if not rejected and returned within a very short period of time, was taken as consent and their gold was then melted down.

Three of the companies investigated were Cash4Gold, CashMyGold and Postal Gold.  Following the investigation, they have all now agreed to make changes to their business practices.
