New research from Clerical Medical has suggested that the average person in Britain donates £13,000 to charity in their lifetime. The online survey of 3,000 people revealed that the UK raises £8 billion a year through fundraising events, sponsorship and donating to good causes.

Good people of Britain - please do keep giving although make sure you do it in the right way so that Charities can benefit from claiming tax relief on your donation.
