Published / Last Updated on 19/03/2008

FSA has issued a warning to traders who may created rumours regarding certain Banks.  The FSA has confirmed it is investigating trading in the shares in financial companies in the last few days.

The FSA has stated that there have been a number of unfounded rumours and they will not tolerate traders taking advantage.

The warning came as HBOS denied it had gone to the Bank of England for emergency funding in addition to a confirmation that the Bank of England had meet with a number of leading banks to confirm availability of loans should they need them.

Our view

We all have concerns about our money in certain Banks, many of these worries are unfounded.  Rogue traders playing on this fact with rumour just to make money should be jailed!
