FSA Under Cosh Again

Published / Last Updated on 24/09/2002

The Consumers Association (CA) have again criticised the financial services industry regulator, the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

The problem now is that they believe that the FSA are not doing doing enough to help consumers who have mortgage endowment shortfalls.  Many thousands, if not millions of policyholders have or will be receiving shortly "red, amber or green" letters advising them of whether their endowments are on target to pay off their mortgage at maturity.

The CA has asked the FSA to force insurers to publish real figures or exact %'s of the numbers of endowments that are not likely to meet their target.

If you have received notification about your endowment or are worried and think you would like some help please contact us.
