FSA Plans Interactive Factfind

Published / Last Updated on 23/05/2002

Fury has emerged from all walks on the financial services community following the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the industtry regulator, to build interactive questionairres to enable people to make decisions about their money.

Questions have been raised about the accuracy of such guides and whether they will suit all.

Our view:

Does the FSA actually have advisers qualified to give advice?  Who will regulate the regulator? Who will fine the regulator if they give mis-leading guidance?  Who will pay their fines?

Who pays for the professional indemnity insurance? Guess who - you and I.
