FSA Chairman Supports Stock market

Sir Howard Davies, chairman of the FSA, made a speech last week at the FSA’s annual meeting to help shore up the crumbling stock market.  He said that many of the accounting standards in the UK were preferably to those in the US and that the UK’s financial institutions had acted prudently in response to recent uncertainty.
