Financial Ruin: Your Risk
According to figures from AXA, the UK is a nation in denial with the majority believing they are unlikely to suffer serious illnesses, unemployment or financial problems during their lifetime.
AXA claim that 74 per cent of people surveyed believe they can rely on financial support from family and relatives during a serious life risk.
Our view
We all need to take our protection provision seriously and review it regularly. Spending a few pounds less per month on a Chinese meal or petrol and more on insurance protection can be the difference between financial stability and hardship.
In the last 12 months alone, we have dealt personally with a number of clients who have either been made redundant or have developed a serious illness such as cancer. This is a fact of life and we must all plan to protect ourselves.
