Ex_Smokers Could Save Money On Life Cover

Published / Last Updated on 26/02/2006

Sainsbury's Bank believe that ex-smokers may be losing millions of pounds by not updating their policy providers after they have given up.  According to the bank, around 7 million people have given up smoking, but only around a quarter of those have informed their life insurance company.

It is estimated that there are up to 2.2 million ex-smokers who may be wasting as much as £126 million or more every year because they have not reviewed their life insurance to show non-smoker status.
