EU Style Wealth Tax On Way.
Plans to tax high-end properties to fulfil the Government’s long-term aim of scrapping the 50p income tax rate have been revealed. According to Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, the Government is planning a new tax regime to target expensive homes.
Potential measures could include changes to the way Stamp Duty and council tax are structured.
