In a report in a leading industry newspapers, Legal firm, Salans, have alleged that estate agents haven't got a clue what to do about Home Information Packs.
They believe that when the legislation is passed next year, and final details are available as to what the packs will involve, it is likely that many estate agents, especially the smaller ones, will be forced to outsource business to a HIP provider.
It is believed that although the Home Information Packs are supposed to be brought in, in January 2007, it will probably be much later than that, as very few people are prepared.
