According to a recent poll, estate agents are the fifth most irritating customer servicing industry.
Estate agents came in after other industries such as banks, mobile telephones, junk mail and call centres.

A recent television programme also highlighted a number of industries that irritate and frustrate consumers. The same culprits were named and shamed.
Whilst everyone has their niggles, it is generally only a few bad examples that give each industry a bad name. But, people are far more likely to talk about bad service than good and this has an obvious knock-on effect.
Many industries, including the finance industry have acted badly in the past. It is only through increased regulation that things have improved, estate agency has little regulation currently but we have been told this is about to change.
