Charles Thomson, chief executive of the troubled mutual insurer, has suggested that members (i.e. with profits policyholders) should accept the findings by the Parliamentary Ombudsman.
The Ombudsman is set to rule on the issues surrounding the case looking at who is at fault - Government, Regulator, Auditors or Directors.
Our view
We agree, perhaps at last Equitable and their members should move on although we do appreciate the dilemma of members who have suffered.
