Following our recent coverage of Equitable Life's test cases heard by the Ombudsman and the subsequent ruling that went for the benefit of policyholders, Equitable have made their decision to appeal.
As the insurer has now appealed the Ombudsman will have to review any new evidence and consider the arguments made by Equitable. Their final decision will not be made until Equitable and the people involved in the test cases have been consulted.
