The Financial Ombudsman Services has issued a revised estimate of the number of complaints to do with endowments that it expects to receive this year and next year.
The FOS now expects 50,000 endowment complaints (more than doubling its original estimate of 20,000) with overall complaints nearing 100,000 (up form 60,000).
Our view
Complaining is fast becoming the culture of this country.
We agree that any complaint for mis-selling should be upheld and dealt with accordingly. However, there are many that should also be declined.
Not all complaints are valid with a number just "jumping on the bandwagon".
