EMI Pension Deficit Threat

World famous media group EMI may be under threat as negotiations with the Pensions Regulator reach a climax.

The EMI pension fund deficit is currently over £100m with just over 250 active members.

There are clear guidelines now as to how quickly pension shortfalls are to be funded over specific periods. The above estimated deficit amounts to around £40,000 per member and has been suggested that this sort of funding will break the company.
