 DWP More Productive

An independent review says, the department for work and pensions (DWP) has increased productivity by 11 per cent since 2004.  The 2008 Capability Review of the DWP said the largest government department cut 30,000 posts and saved £1bn in costs since the previous review in 2004.

It also said the department continues to deliver its core business successfully while implementing a major change programme and playing a leading role in the cross-government shared services agenda.

This is a good thing given the wastage that is in government departments.  Well done the DWP.
