Cut Taxes Say 58% Of Us

Low tax campaigners Tax Payers' Alliance have issued survey results that say that 58% of us actually want a cut in taxation.  In addition, 86% want no further tax rises.

Our view

Not exactly a surprising result.   Most people would rather choose how they spend their money rather than let the Government decide where it is to be spent.  The reality is that if you were offered a 3% income tax rate cut but you could no longer use the National Health Service, the country would fall into chaos and many would not bother with private medical insurance.

Our state system, whilst not perfect by any means, is one that is admired enviously throughout the World.  The difficulty is that money is wasted in beaurocracy.   There are far, far too many who work within the Public Sector who deliver little.

The problem with the State is that it is not "public"
