Corporate Bond Sales Fall.

According to the IMA, Corporate Bond net retail sales dropped to £891.5m in January, which is less than half the monthly average for the previous 12 months.  Funds in the Europe sector, excluding the UK sector saw a loss of £81.3m as well as funds in the Asia Pacific, excluding Japan sector, which lost £40m.

Equities were the leading asset class in January with net retail sales of £534m, this accounted for around 56 per cent of total gross sales.  The second highest selling asset class in January was Balanced at £231m.
