Consumer Protection and Markets Authority CPMA Taking Charge

The newly created Consumer Protection & Markets Authority will take responsibility for the Financial Ombudsman Service and Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
This means the CPMA will take over the FSA’s responsibility for these two organisations and will also oversee the newly created Consumer Financial Education Body.
The CPMA will regulate all currently regulated financial services firms.
So, by all accounts it is bye bye FSA, hello CPMA!
