Confident Market Despite Volatility

Research by Teamspirit Hope and Fears Influence shows that 58 per cent of financial advisers have an optimistic outlook and are confident that this year will turn out to be good for business despite the market volatility.  Sixty-eight per cent say that the health of the UK economy is their biggest concern, with regulation and new business generation s the next biggest worry.

Over 3 out of 5 advisers believe that the treating customers fairly requirement will have a helpful influence on their business.  Over half of advisers also consider retirement solutions and Sipps to be areas that will see most growth, followed by protection and mortgage advice.

Our view

The advantage of buy low sell high applies today as it does everyday.  Currently stockmarkets and property markets are volatile and have fallen.  This presents a good time to invest not a poor time.  Remember, clever investors will invest when they see headlines like ‘decline’, ‘huge falls’, ‘stockmarket crash’.  Now is the time to consider investing, you just have to hold your nerve.
