Co-operative Insurance Services is spreading the word to help recruit 200 volunteers for a Drop-In centre in Manchester, to help the homeless at Christmas. Lifeshare, a Manchester based charity, runs the centre for 10 days serving over 5000 hot meals. The charity is looking for volunteers and donations of food, winter clothing, money and toiletries. Training sessions will be held in early December. CIS has donated £5,000 to help fund the project and a spokesman for the company said that staff are being encouraged to participate, although CIS cannot do it alone. Anyone who is interested in lending their support should phone Tez Clegg on 0161 953 4069.
