A bizarre result in a survey by the Association of Investment Trust Companies, have shown that 48% of 8 to 15 year olds, said that they were worried about how much their parents spend on presents on them for Christmas, and want them to save their money to use later on in life! Meanwhile, only 31% of parents feel they spend too much on their children.
Almost a half, spend between £100 and £200, while a quarter spend up to £500 for each child.
41% of the people questioned said they would prefer to save more money for their children.
Our view
Aaahhhh......little angels. How many of those children questioned would have been over the moon on Christmas morning when they found that Santa hadn't been?.
