A new 10-year plan has been discussed at a recent meeting between the Financial Services Authority and the Treasury. The plan will hopefully help people to find the best way in which to organise their finances.

The chief executive of the Financial Services Authority stated that financial capability was one of the three biggest issues facing today’s society and he did not expect to see an improvement for at least 15 years.

Our view

We suggested a ‘financial aid’ package similar to the ‘Legal Aid’ Board, now known as the Legal Services Commission to the over 6 years ago. At last they have taken up our suggestion.
