The Confederation of British Industry has warned that four million new homes will be needed in England by 2020, or the UK's economy will suffer. They have recently criticised current planning systems and have called for more and better housing, not just flats, in places where people wanted to live.
Our view
We all know that the demand for housing will rise. Likewise the Government has already set in motion projects for new, cheaper housing and new property trusts called Retail Estate Investment Trusts.
