According to the monthly survey by Rightmove, home buying has picked up again in that last month.
Leading commentators have put this down to the fact that house price inflation (the rate at which property prices are increasing) has been consistently falling since the start of the year. It is still at 17.8% though!
Our view
Slow down is already here – but we expect prices to steadily increase throughout the year and a slow down towards the end.
