Budget Cuts = 3 Million Unemployed

by Ashley Clark, Director

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has suggested that expected cuts in teh coming emergency budget and ongoing cuts to public spending to get the country 'back in the black' will push unemployment up by a further 0.5 million people to 3 million.

We have been suggested this figure, very similr to that in the 1980's for nearly 2 years now.  The fact remains that Labour created an additional 0.5m 'false' jobs in public sector and local authority areas and this are just not needed.
