Britannia and Co-op Merger Talks
Over the weekend Britannia Building Society and the Co-operative Bank confirmed they were in merger talks.
Consolidation would appear to be the name of the game here as companies consolidate to cut costs, i.e. staff and wages, to remain solvent and indeed liquid.
Expect more mergers and acquisitions.
