Bill Gates Richest Man in World.

It may come as no surprise but the yearly survey by Forbes Magazine has suggested that Bill Gates, Microsoft founder, has recovered his position as the wealthiest man on the planet.

Current estimates valued him at $76bn.

The spread of billionaires is rising, Europe still has the second highest number of billionaires behind the USA followed by Asia.

Interesting though, the richest man in Africa, Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote, made the top 25.  In addition, a greater spread of billionaires from developing and emerging market nations are starting to make the billionaire club.

The results demonstrate and significant increase in wealth after the “credit crunch” but also a global change in wealth distribution.  We suggest a greater share of wealth will continue to pass to the far east and emerging markets.
