Bankruptcy Record Levels
According to figures release by the Insolvency Service, bankruptcy in England and Wales has hit records levels in the first three months of 2009.
Bankruptcy filing numbered over 20,000 for the 3 month period, up over 50% on the same period last year.
In addition, there were over 10,000 IVAs (Individual Voluntary Arrangement).
These figures represent the sad fact that the UK is in recession and people are losing their jobs and struggling to make ends meet.
