Bank Of England Holds Interest Rates.

The Bank of England has held interest rates at 0.5%.  Economists expected the interest rate to remain unchanged due to concerns about the strength of the economic recovery.  Interest rates have been kept at this record low since March 2009.

There were no announcements regarding any increase in its policy of quantitative easing (QE), but according to the Monetary Policy Committee, the latest QE programme will take another 3 months to complete.
