Savings Gap
An estimated 27 million people in the UK do not have access to a financial adviser for different reasons be it lack of understanding, complexity, paperwork, adviser fees, not interested in their money, fed up with advertising, being conned etc. To bridge the ‘savings gap’ and encourage people to save for their future, the subject of ‘robo advice’ has received much publicity over the last 6 months as both government and the financial regulator attempt to find a solution to making it easier for people to understand their money, pensions and savings. There are already some basic ‘robo adviser’ models online, usually with a series of 5-10 risk based questions and then you are pointed to being a Type 1,2, 3 etc client with standard investment portfolios. BIG DEAL! To be honest, this is simply not good enough and will not help people.
Our ‘Robo Advice Solution’ - Feedback Needed Please
For 5 years, we have been working on a totally automated financial adviser and over the last 3 years, the real programming work has been going on, we have rebuilt it 3 times and had to upgrade our server twice to cope with the volume of calculations. Our robo-adviser can handle thousands of clients with thousands (if not millions) of calculations simultaneously. We want to make it easy for you to understand money, manage it easily and have automatic suggestions and reminders on what to do with the security of us in the background if you need personal advice. We won’t bore with the technical detail, but to give you an idea of what is behind the scenes, we have built our own version of ‘office’ to automatically write letters, spreadsheets, databases, emails, calculators, graphs, pictures, generate full advice reports for you and more. In seconds, our robo-adviser can work out whether your pension is good value for money, how your funds are performing, whether you are in the right investments, work out all your income tax, inheritance and capital gains taxes; your projected pensions, care fees, how much you need to save, how long your money will last, adjusted for future cost of living, insurance needs, trusts, it can even automatically generate a Will if we want – it is that powerful. Our complete knowledge of finance all ‘bottled up’ in an easy to use website and app. There will be at least two versions of the robo-adviser, a simple version without a need for any technical knowledge about money at all and a more detailed one, that we can work with you on (if you want) for those who like dealing with their money.

Volunteers in 2016
To test user friendliness and gather suggestions for what you would like to see in an automated advice application, can you help us in next year?
We are not looking for clients to spend hours on this, just a few minutes of your time. It is supposed to be quick and easy! We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in testing the next generation of financial planning tool in early 2016. If you are interested, can you let us know. We would very much like you to come on board. Contact us.
