Back On Time Or GBP100 Fine!

Published / Last Updated on 06/01/2002

Up to 4 million people face a fixed penalty fine of £100 if they don't get their tax returns in on time.  The Inland Revenue deadline is the 31st January 2001 and, if you haven't sent back your returns yet, you only have a matter of weeks to go.

The Inland Revenue have already received 5.5 million returns back so far but are still waiting for the other 3.8 million. Just think - £100 fine from 3.8 million people, that's £380,000,000 in the Revenue's coffers and a good incentive to meet the deadline!!!
