Global insurance giant, Axa, has released figures that nearly 3 million workers and members of company pension schemes are worried about the future of their pension.
The research highlighted that people are extremely worried given more and more schemes closing, bad press and more. The research also stated that almost half of the companies surveyed did not know how their pension fund was performing for either themselves or there staff.
Our view
Concern by the public is justifiable, perhaps more people are now taking a real interest in their future as opposed to the blasa attitude of the 70's, 80's and 90's. The concern is tough that some people still do not know how their pension is performing.
