Xavier & Co* - The Tale Of Two Companies - It Is the Little Things That Count

Make Your Choice:

Initial Telephone Contact:

Telephone Answered - after 2 rings

How answered? - friendly voice.  Who you need to speak to - person is away from their desk, they promise to ring you back.  They ring back in 2 minutes.

Directions - they send you a map showing you how to find them.  They ring you up to check that you have received the map, tell you where to park and check that you are happy that you know where to come.  They offer to book you a table at their favourite restaurant for your evening meal.

At The Meeting:

First Impressions - the reception table has a beautifully bound volume containing press cuttings and testimonial letters, some in English

Language - the Partner speaks fluent English and offers to audio tape the meeting so that you have a permanent record to refer back to

Jargon - the Partner explains everything in a jargon free manner and proceeds to only use plain English

Your Options Explained - the Partner comes off the fence and says "if it were me I would ..........." Questions - the Partner probes you to ensure that your needs and real issues are identified, not just restricting the conversation to questions that you raise.

Follow Up - Report - four HOURS later the proposal arrives by email.

There is no brochure, but the proposal comes complete with

  • Scanned testimonial letters from people who they have done similar work for
  • Service guarantees (i.e.  if we do not return your telephone calls within an hour we pay £10 to the charity of your choice)
  • A letter from the senior partner saying how excited they all are about working with you.

Price - you are quoted £12,000
