First Time Buyers Up_Sticks

Published / Last Updated on 03/12/2007

Abbey

According to research by Abbey, up to 25% of first time buyers would consider moving to more affordable areas in the UK, in order to get on the property ladder.  Some would also consider moving abroad.

Abbey’s research also highlighted that over a third of first time buyers were willing to take on a second job and some would also take a third if it mean them securing a property.

Our view

Getting on the housing market ladder may prove much easier for first time buyers as the current credit crunch starts to hold and bring down house prices.
