The government will introduce reforms to strengthen the role of employers in the apprenticeship programme.

Up to £450 million is to be made available to enable employers to transfer up to 25% of their funds to pay for apprenticeship training as well as another £5 million to the Institute for Apprenticeships and National Apprenticeship Service to bring apprenticeship programmes in line with the future needs, standards and requirementsof industry and commerce to build the UK economy.
