The Great Interest Rate Debate

Published / Last Updated on 18/11/2007

The debate regarding interest rates continues to receive a mixed reaction.  The Council of Mortgage Lenders CML predicted the interest rates would fall in November.  They were wrong.

Our view

We expect rates to be held until after the Christmas spending rush.  We expect rates to be lowered by 0.25% in either February or March.
