National Savings

Published / Last Updated on 17/05/2021

National Savings are an excellent way to save.

Interest rates are generally lower than most other investment companies, but sometimes very competitive rates are offered only in the short term.

Some investment products are tax free making them attractive investments such as premium bonds for higher rate tax payers.  Others are not so attractive.

Security is key with National Savings as they are backed by the British Government.

Most people should have some National Savings plans as part of their investment portfolio to spread risk and take advantage of any tax incentives.
